Airglow Music presents A Fistful of Patchcords (AM-001)
Jordan Rudess and Richard Lainhart Live in Concert
Airglow Music's first release, "A Fistful of Patchcords", is a full-length concert film on DVD, presented just as Richard Lainhart and Jordan Rudess performed it on July 22, 2006 in Valley Cottage, New York. Sonic exploration is the main goal in these spontaneous synthesizer improvisations with textures ranging everywhere from simple chord changes and melodies to brutal noise, all accompanied by abstract computer animations.
"A Fistful of Patchcords" makes it abundantly clear that Richard and Jordan are synthesis masters. In their hands, spacey jams evolve full of emotion and nuance, making excellent use of both old-school analog and cutting-edge digital sound sources. Highly creative, musical, and satisfying.
